Bonnie Borbridge, RMT

Bonnie is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in 1990 and attributes her continuing education study of Neuromuscular Therapy, the St. John Method early in her career with many of the techniques that have relieved pain and increased function for her patients.

Bonnie has taught Introduction to Massage Therapy classes, worked as a Teaching Assistant at WCCMT, and taught infant massage locally. She continues to use education as part of her treatment strategy, believing that we are empowered when we understand the holistic nature of our bodies.  A core belief that she holds is that we are all better when we work collaboratively and Bonnie has a great network of healthcare practitioners that she feels increase everyone’s efficacy.

Through her significant experience with a variety of massage techniques, including Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, Craniosacral Therapy, combined with the wisdom taught to her by patients over 34 years, Bonnie is able to adapt to provide safe, effective, and individualized treatment to each of her valued patients.

Her main interests are the detailed work required to resolve neck pain, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, hand issues, and surgical recovery. She is married to her business partner Paul & they have raised their two daughters in the Comox Valley.

Paul Carr, RMT

Paul is one of those people who can fix anything.  It started with dune buggies, helicopters, and yachts and ultimately fully developed when he combined his mechanical mind with his people skills as an RMT.

As a graduate of the WCCMT in 1990 he soon shared his clinical skills teaching Introductory Massage Classes and as a Clinical Supervisor at WCCMT. Paul has been committed to fitness his whole life and worked with many National Level Athletes in Vancouver before moving to the Comox Valley, where he and his wife and business partner Bonnie have raised their two daughters.

Paul continues to stay fresh by taking continuing education courses. He has found the latest course, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation, to be an incredible adjunct to the Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular therapy techniques that have helped so many people over his 34 year career. Paul works hard to help his patients of all ages and backgrounds maintain/regain their mobility, decrease pain, and increase their quality of life.  He is a very positive and motivating presence in our clinic.
